Kathleen Wrinn

Lyricist, Bookwriter, Performer.


Kathleen is a musical theatre performer turned lyricist, bookwriter, and composer from Upstate New York.  Some of her favorite acting roles include Eva Perón in Evita with the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra, and Henriette Henriot in the one-woman play, The Woman in the Blue Dress, at Syracuse Stage. 

Kathleen is currently developing three full-length musicals: The Bridge (Lyrics by Wrinn; Book by Emily Roller and Music by Peter Hodgson), which was awarded a residency at the Catwalk Art Institute in 2017, My Rising (Book and Lyrics by Wrinn; Music by Wrinn and Brad Kemp), which received a reading at the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival, and The Forgetting of Snow (Book and Lyrics by Wrinn; Music by Paulo K Tiról), which received an Equity reading at NYU and selections from which were featured as part of NAMT’s 28th Annual Songwriters Cabaret. 

Kathleen's work has been showcased at various cabaret venues and theatrical spaces around the New York City area, including 54 Below, Joe's Pub at the Public Theater, and NYMF’s Women of Note concert for the past three years. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and a proud alumna of Syracuse University's Drama Department and NYU: Tisch’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.  She ricochets between Upstate New York and Porto Alegre, Brazil.
